Greetings!
Hello To All: I'd like to thank each and everyone of you for
your continued support of my work. As the weather improves,
things seem to get a bit busier. There is a lot happening for me
and I am certain for you as well. I hope to connect with you soon
at one of the events I will be offering or attending.
| Your Opening Statement |
 |
Little is more important in the sales process, than your
opening statement when you are prospecting. Whether you make
contact on the phone or in person, you have about 10 seconds
to connect with your prospect and say something that might
be of interest to him/her.
The things You Should Say to the Propsect:
- Who You Are
- Where You're From (Company Name)
- What you sell (in very simple terms)
- How Your Prospect Will Benefit from your
product/service
- A question to gauge interest of the prospect
Keep In Mind:
- Maximize Every Word, Syllable and Pause
- Opening Statement is Not Meant to be a Close
- Never leave a misleading message
- Never use industry jargon
- Avoid Being Vague
Things NOT to say:
- How Are You Today?
- Id' like to learn more about your business to
determine
- We're the leading provider of....
- We work with several of your competitors
- I'd like to see if there is a way for us to work
together
- Did I catch you at a bad time?
More about opening statements and other invaluable
information is available in Iris' SellMORE Sales Intensive,
which is scheduled for March 22, 2005. Visit the website or
call for details. You don't want to miss this breakthrough
sales training! |
