Reflections
The Moments of High Resolve
Despite the dullness and barrenness of the days that pass,
if I search with due diligence, I can always find a deposit left by some former radiance.
But I had forgotten.
At the time it was full-orbed, glorious, and resplendent.
I was sure that I would never forget.
In the moment of its fullness,
I was sure it would illumine my path for all the rest of my journey.
I had forgotten how easy it is to forget.
There was no intent to betray what seemed so sure at the time.
My response was whole, clean, authentic.
But little by little, there crept into my life the dust and grit of the journey.
Details, lower-level demands, all kinds of cross currents--
nothing momentous, nothing overwhelming, nothing flagrant--- just wear and tear.
If there had been some direct challenge-- a clear cut issue--
I would have fought it to the end, and beyond.
In the quietness of this place,
surrounded by the all-pervading Presence of God, my heart whispers:
Keep fresh before me the moments of my High Resolve,
that in fair weather or foul, in good times or in tempests,
in the days when the darkness and the foe are nameless or familiar, I may not forget that to which my life is committed. Keep fresh before me The moments of high resolve.

Reflections on The Weavers
We were not made to walk in isolation but, in fact, long for companions who can share
with us this journey of the soul.
We find or create a community of companions who will join us as we explore and expand our experience of
the sacred. We each long for a container that will receive us in our truth and support us as we grapple with the mysteries of life and God.
We see a circle that will support us as we reach out in service, knowing our efforts are amplified when joined with other hearts and hands. When these communities are
energizing, compassionate and inclusive,
they reflect the expansive heart of the Holy One who holds us all.
We have experienced the power of community when we have shared resources and gifts in various groups, some perhaps quite structured, others loosely woven.
As we seek a faith-community, we long for others who will embrace the deep soul-space within, joining us on the spiritual path. We gather together in our churches, synagogues, mosques, and homes so that we might explore and
implore the Mystery we so long to mirror. We hunger for a communal expression of joy and celebration, pain and loss, believing and knowing, that gathered together we are given the gifts of strength, courage
and compassion to live and act in love.

The smallest plant, the creatures and
objects in your care.
Be gentle and nurture. Listen…
As we experience and accept
All that we really are…
We grow in care.
We begin to embrace others
As ourselves and learn to live
As one among many…
